Market Management Officer
Warwickshire County Council spends around £130 million a year on the care and support services it commissions from social care independent providers. This includes older people; people of all ages who have a disability; and children and their families who are supported or looked after by the local authority. We commission a wide range of service types, from meals services, advocacy and advice, domiciliary care, fostering, and supported living, to 24/7 residential accommodation services.
37.0 Hours per Week
The market management team is part of the Public Health and Strategic Commissioning business unit, and supports commissioning activity by analysing demographic, business and financial information to develop an understanding of the shape and viability of the social care market in the county. Market Position Statements are key products of the market management team.
We’re looking for a market management officer to join our small but dynamic team. The new team member will focus on the adults services social care market, but will also be supporting colleagues in the team who currently specialise in children’s social care, education and health markets. You will be familiar with the social care markets and have an understanding of how councils commission services and carry out market shaping activities. You will have a working knowledge of company finances and be able to use published accounts to carry out a basic assessment of the financial health and viability of companies.
This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
