Would you like to train to be a Social Worker and make a real difference in people’s lives?
The West Midlands Step Up to Social Work Regional Partnership (funded by the Department for Education), consisting of 13 Local Authorities: Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Hereford, Sandwell, Shropshire, Solihull, Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Telford, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Worcestershire, are offering the opportunity to become a Children’s Social Worker in 14 months, please visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/step-up-to-social-work-information-for-applicants for more information and to apply online.
To be eligible to apply you will need:
- a minimum 2:1 honours degree qualification or
- a minimum 2:2 honours degree plus a higher degree (at level 7 or above, which can include a master’s degree or a Postgraduate Certificate which must carry academic credits) and
- at least six months experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and/or their families/carers and
- English and Maths GCSE qualifications at grade C or above and provide evidence of this or an equivalent
