Herefordshire Council is responsible for the enforcement of the on-street parking restrictions throughout Herefordshire and also its off-street car parks.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed full time Senior Civil Enforcement Officer to provide support as required to the Parking Enforcement Manager and supervise and support a team of Civil Parking Enforcement Officers.
This will involve a number of business support functions and managing performance and day to day activity in line with council policies and procedures.

The post holder will also carry out high visibility patrols across the county enforcing parking regulations by way of serving penalty charge notices to vehicles contravening the parking regulations and carrying out routine disabled persons blue badge checks.

The role involves a mixture of office based work, patrolling on foot outside in all weather conditions and some weekend and evenings work.

The post holder will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to deal effectively with members of public who may be upset and angry.

As the role includes travelling independently across the county a full UK driving licence is required.
