Housing Solutions Manager
12 month temporary contract - maternity cover
£35,229- £38,052 per annum
plus essential car user allowance
37 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Tamworth Borough Council for an experienced, collaborative and enthusiastic housing professional to manage the housing solutions team. This role will require a highly motivated individual to play a key role in the management and development of excellent homelessness prevention services in Tamworth in line with the new legislative requirements as set out in the Homelessness Reduction Act.
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of both strategic and operational challenges regarding the effective prevention of homelessness. Additionally, you will have a good understanding of current housing issues, the homelessness prevention agenda, relevant housing and homelessness legislation (including the Homelessness Reduction Act) and Housing Allocations Systems.
We are looking for someone to bring an outcome driven approach to the management of the housing solutions team, delivery of a customer focused approach to homelessness prevention activities and ensure the Council’s statutory functions are met. You will be committed to partnership working, be highly organised and have a pro-active, problem solving approach to the prevention of homelessness.
With excellent communication skills you will work closely with other service managers, colleagues and partners to drive the delivery of homelessness prevention services, projects and initiatives.
You will already have management experience including business planning, performance and financial management.
