  • Are you an experienced senior manager with a track record of achieving change in public services through stakeholder engagement?
  • Do you have strong and proven programme management ability, together with an understanding of and experience in all aspects of regeneration?

Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council is committed to regenerating Sutton Coldfield Town Centre and has declared its ambition to be at the forefront in planning these changes.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Chief Executive Officer who will support the Town Council’s input to strategic policy development and implementation of the Council’s Strategic Plan. You will seek to influence the investment plans of partner organisations and private businesses to support our vision to revitalise the town centre. Other areas of responsibility include development of the public realm, transport infrastructure and green spaces.

You will be part of a growing team whose focus is delivering an exciting portfolio of projects from the Strategic Plan to ensure that the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield continues to be a great place to live, work and visit.

This is a high profile job and you will need vision, excellent leadership, good communication skills, financial acumen and an understanding of local government operations in order to work successfully with councillors, other local authorities, external organisations, stakeholders and the local community.

The post is full time and some evening meeting attendance is required.
