ABOUT US

“Dudley Early Help: Building resilience, not reliance”

Dudley Council has the highest ambitions for our children and young people. Our vision is to give children the best start in life and to support families to be independent, responsible and successful and to ensure we provide the highest levels of public protection for our most vulnerable children. Our workforce is key to making this happen.

Described by Eleanor Brazil, Children’s Commissioner as “focussed, ambitious and creative” in our improvement journey, we recognise the importance of developing our workforce.

Working for Dudley you will receive:

  • Manageable cases loads
  • A comprehensive learning and development package
  • High quality professional supervision
  • Supportive and collaborative team working
  • Excellent progression opportunities
  • A significantly streamlined IT system allowing more time away from admin and more time to work with children and their families

Hours:  37 per week

In Dudley, Early Help is a strategic priority. We have transformed and improved the way we provide services for children, young people and families by adopting new and innovative ways of working. You can read more about our plans in our EARLY HELP STRATEGY

This vital and challenging work is delivered locally in Dudley through our Family Solutions Team where services have been designed to promote resilience, not reliance. We provide families, communities and local organisations with the help they need to support all children and young people to do well and to stay safe.

We are looking for a professional who has significant expertise and history of working within family support, youth or social care services to provide assessment expertise when working with children, young people and families.
