5.0 Hours per Week

Required for one hour a day (8am to 9am) Monday to Friday, term time only.

We have a rewarding opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic individual to join the Sustainable Travel Team helping to ensure the safety of children travelling to their local primary school.

As a Road Safety Instructor, you will supervise children travelling on a 'Walking Bus', collecting the children from there homes or specified ‘pick-up’ points and escorting them to Kingshurst Primary School, safely and on time.  You will work closely with the school dealing with any incidents and raising concerns as appropriate.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • have some previous experience of working with or supervising children
  • be prepared to work in all weathers.
  • have the ability to engage with children in a caring and nurturing manner.
  • be able to respond to difficult and unexpected problems and incidents, calmly and professionally
  • able to act with discretion and confidentiality at all times
