Parks & Events Manager
Grade 10 - £37,107 - £41,846 per annum
37 hours per week Permanent
We are seeking a high performing, knowledgeable, intuitive & progressive individual to lead and manage the work of our Park and Events Team and to support wider initiatives and programmes with partnerships across the county.
The role will include the transformation of the approach to the strategic planning of the service, developing investment and growth opportunities, create destination events and venues and support planning colleagues to ensure high quality development across both Bromsgrove and Redditch.
Key areas of the post include the leadership & management of:
• Council Parks in Redditch and Bromsgrove including Woodland, Habitat & Bio Diversity
• Community Events
• Physical Active Development in green spaces including Play Provision.
• Allotments.
• Contract & Concession Management Inc. Stewardship schemes.
• Playing Pitches and Golf Course Maintenance.
• Planning Applications consultation Inc. Section 106 Lead for Sport, Play & POS and Biodiversity.
You will act as lead officer on the relevant corporate groups, partnerships and/or organisations Inc. outside bodies and provide professional advice to senior officers and elected members across the areas the service is responsible for.
