It is an exciting time to join Coventry City Council as we develop and modernise our recruitment service.  Reporting to the Head of Service, you will be key to shaping the future of the Council’s workforce. 

As well as leading a team of dedicated recruitment business partners and advisors, the role encompasses the provision of best practice and excellence in transactional support up to formal offer for appointments at all levels within the Council, our partners and external customer organisations.

 We are looking for a skilled leader of people with substantial experience of managing an in-house recruitment and selection service who has:

 ·      The ability to inspire and motivate your team to deliver successful hiring outcomes consistently.

·       Up to date expert knowledge of recruitment and selection technologies and the benefits they offer

·       Excellent track record of building working relationships with colleagues at all levels across a range of organisations

·       Experience of providing innovative best practice and cost effective attraction and selection strategies and solutions to hiring managers.

-       Current knowledge of the national, regional and local issues in relation to recruitment and selection in Local Government.
