Job Details
Warwickshire County Council’s SEND Assessment and Review Service (SENDAR) is a strong, dynamic and supportive team dedicated to putting the child / young person and their family at the heart of all we do.
SENDAR is part of Warwickshire’s SEND and Inclusion team of specialist teachers and other professionals and works particularly closely with the Educational Psychology Service under joint leadership arrangements.
We work in modern offices and have a dedicated Business Support team, with a clear and supportive line management structure and established induction process.
The Role
37.0 Hours per Week
We are seeking to appoint one full time permanent member of staff and one full time 12 month contract. Part time posts may be considered for either role.
The successful candidate will have an identified geographical area of Warwickshire for which she/he will act as the point of contact throughout the SEND assessment and review process, actively developing partnership working with families, children, young people, a range of educational establishments and professionals from education, health, social care and the voluntary sector.
Key Requirements
The new post holder will be an experienced EHC Plan Coordinator or have experience working in the area of SEND within a local authority or educational setting context. They will have a strong understanding of relevant legislation, be able to work to statutory timescales, possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and have a willingness to work proactively with other agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes within available time and financial resources.
