Post-16 Careers Education & Guidance and Work Experience Co-ordinator.

£8,546-£9,692 per annum,  fixed term contract to end on 17 July 2020.

20 hours per week (working hours/days to be negotiated at interview). Academy term time only (197 days per academic year).

The JCB Academy was established in September 2010, the first of a brand new kind of school in the UK, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering and business education. 

Since opening we have been consistently successful - our Ofsted inspection in September 2018, recognised us as a “Good” school with “outstanding” features, including progress in mathematics, engineering and vocational courses and the dedication to keeping students safe and secure. Pupil numbers are growing - we have been oversubscribed every year, including for entry this September. Currently we cater for approximately 700 full time learners aged 13-18 as well as approximately 300 learners aged 16+ following apprenticeships. 

We are looking for an outstanding communicator to provide careers guidance ensuring that each post-16 learner has an aspirational career action plan. You will help and support with applications to university, FE, apprenticeships and employment. You will also manage the work experience process for our post-16 learners at the academy.
