As such opportunities have arisen to work in Public Health and Strategic Commissioning within each of the following teams: Children's Commissioning and All Age Disability, to deliver a challenging portfolio of projects to secure our vision for vulnerable people. The Role

37.0 Hours per Week

All Age Disabilities Team (Maternity Cover)  and Children’s Commissioning Team (2 year fixed).

These are exciting and varied roles that require committed, creative and intellectually agile commissioners to drive best value, best quality, joined up services for our most vulnerable citizens.

We need experienced, outcome driven commissioners who can work innovatively and collaboratively. You will lead on service redesign by developing and delivering the strategies and the associated commissioning and delivery plans; service redesign, market shaping, tendering and contract/relationship management and review.

The post holder will focus on commissioning arrangements that support good outcomes for people and will deliver needs assessment/gap analysis, strategy development, stakeholder engagement, customer co-production, service redesign and contract management and review.

Key Requirements

The post holder for each role will  have experience of working in the public sector and will need to be skilled and experienced in partnership working with colleagues across the Council, Health and the Independent Care Sector; the post holder will have significant experience of all key aspects of the commissioning cycle,  have a demonstrable, effective track record of leading complex projects which have achieved great results. Most importantly the post holder will be committed to supporting vulnerable people to live fulfilled lives with the right support and guidance.
