Job Details
Warwickshire County Council spends around £130million a year on the care and support services it commissions from social care independent providers. This includes older people; people of all ages who have a disability; and children and their families who are supported or looked after by the local authority. We commission a wide range of service types, from meals services, advocacy and advice, domiciliary care, fostering, and supported living, to 24/7 residential accommodation services.
The Role
37.0 Hours per Week
The market management team is part of the Strategic Commissioning business unit, and supports commissioning activity by analysing demographic, business and financial information to develop an understanding of the shape and viability of the social care market in the county. It also provides key support around Contract Governance, ensuring that commissioning activity complies with the Council’s Contract Standing Orders, and that our contract records are accurate and up to date.
We’re looking for a market management assistant to join our small but dynamic team. The new team member will focus on work around on setting up and maintaining records of contracts and fee rates, but will also play a key role supporting wider commissioning activity and the wide-ranging work of the market management team in particular. There will be opportunities to work with colleagues in other Council teams, with our partners in other public bodies, and with the provider market.
