Job Details

A permanent post is available in the Quality Assurance and Compliance Team which is in the Commissioning Unit and is part of the Directorate for Adult Services at Worcestershire County Council.

A wide range of care services is purchased by the Council on behalf of Worcestershire residents and this team is responsible for ensuring that the quality of those services meets contractual requirements.  Quality Assurance and Compliance Officers visit services, assess the care service provided, against standards, produce reports and follow up on any improvements required.  The visits may be planned or reactive (in response to concerns) so you will need to be flexible and adaptable, able to travel across the county and you must care about the standard of care provided and the experience of those receiving that care.

The job description for a Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer is generic and therefore portfolios can change over time.  However, this post will focus on domiciliary care services and extra care.  You will be joining an established team including others covering these services.  Training, shadowing and ongoing support will be arranged, before and during visits to providers.

The work is exciting and fast-moving and you will know that you are helping to improve the lives of people receiving services.

This is a 35 hour per week, permanent, post although part time working may be considered.

Proposed interview date 5th March 2019
