We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Health and Safety Officer who will assist in the provision of a positive Health and Safety culture. A background in Health and Safety is desirable but not essential as applicants will have the opportunity to gain experience in the role and develop by undertaking the Level 3 in Health and Environment Technician. What is more important is experience of working within a customer focused environment and providing advice and guidance.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday with support and time given to fulfil the requirements of your training.

The role is a varied one and will involve carrying out inspections, ensuring compliance with Asbestos inspection programme and the development and implementation of Health and Safety processes. At completion of the Level 3 qualification, although there is no guarantee of permanent employment, the experience and skills you will have learned will be recognised as a Health and Safety Officer.

You must be Educated to Level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework including Maths and English

Experience of working within a customer focused environment, providing advice and guidance

 

Experience of working to Deadlines

 

Excellent Communication Skills both oral and Written

 

Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively
