0.8 FTE Teachers Main Scale
2 year fixed term contract
2 year fixed term initially, 0.8 FTE Previously Looked After and Early Years Adviser (main scale teacher) responsible for promoting the education of Previously Looked After Children and Looked After Children in early years as part of the statutory Virtual School function.
The main purpose of this role is to promote the educational achievement of Previously Looked After Children (Adopted, Special Guardianship, Residential Order, and Child Arrangement Order) through the provision of information and advice to their parents, educators and Early Years settings.
The advisor will ensure the educational attainment of children previously looked after is given a high priority in schools, early years settings and alternative provision.
The advisor will ensure that any barriers to success are challenged thereby promoting a culture of high aspiration for previously Looked After.
The advisor will promote the educational achievement of Early Years children in care.
To co-ordinate the delivery of Personal Education Plans (PEPs).
