Learning Support Assistants - George Salter Academy

We are seeking to appoint professional, enthusiastic and vibrant Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to assist and support pupils at George Salter Academy, particularly those with special educational needs, to enable them to access the curriculum and make progress. LSAs work under the guidance of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and teaching staff to support pupils with their studies, either in the classroom, in small groups or on a one to one basis.

Essential skills and qualifications include:

• 5 passes (A-C) at GCSE including Maths and English, or equivalent
• excellent interpersonal and listening skills
• good level of literacy and numeracy and ICT skills

Experience of working in a school in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential.

SCP 11, £10,494 per annum
