The HIPSS Project Co-ordinator is a joint role between our specially commissioned service with Action for Children and the fostering support team. We need an experienced social worker to join the team to provide high quality assessment, reflective supervision and training of specialist therapeutic foster carers.

The applicant should be able to provide the highest standards of professional practice, working collaboratively as an important link between the Fostering Service, Action for Children and children’s services. You will be working alongside a clinical psychologist and lead therapeutic practitioners to support foster carers and provide therapeutic interventions for some of our most vulnerable children and young people.

Our aim is to prevent young people needing residential care and providing planned intervention to enable young people to step down from Residential care with bespoke support packages or ‘wrap around care’ in existing placements. There is scope to develop training initiatives across the teams. You will also be able to develop professionally through training, clinical and reflective supervision from experienced managers and clinical leads.

We welcome applicants whatever their personal characteristics or social identity. All requests for flexible working arrangements and reasonable adjustments will be considered. All disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria of the job are guaranteed an interview.
