High Meadow Infant School is a small infant school with BIG plans!

We are based in Coleshill with 90 children currently on roll however from September 2019 we will be expanding to a full primary school. This is a really exciting time to join our ‘Outstanding’ school. All of our children enjoy weekly Forest School sessions in our own Forest School area. We are an international accredited Storytelling School using a rich oral approach to raising standards in English. This year our teachers are participating in the NCETM ‘Mastery Specialists’ Development programme and in January we found out that we had been awarded Eco School status too! Learning at High Meadow is exciting for everyone and our rich CPD programme ensures our whole school community achieves their potential. It really is a great place to be!

Our current Early Years Leader is off to Dubai and she is certainly leaving ‘big shoes to fill’ We are therefore looking to appoint an inspirational, talented and experienced Reception Class teacher to lead our wonderful Early Years Team, including nursery. This role will also include the role of SENDCo for the whole school. This exciting post will start in September 2019.

We are very proud of our dedicated and caring staff team; hard-working and well-behaved children; vibrant learning environment and supportive parents and carers. We are committed to ensuring that children of all abilities and backgrounds achieve their very best in everything they do. We are also committed to growing the talent in all our staff, enabling them to flourish and succeed.

You will benefit from:

  • Inspiring and enthusiastic children who thrive during their time at High Meadow Infant School
  • High quality professional development opportunities and the chance to learn and develop your practice through undertaking new challenges as an experienced teacher in a forward thinking, expanding school
  • Collaboration with outstanding teachers and support staff whose tremendous knowledge and enthusiasm create stimulating lessons that inspire our children to work to the best of their ability
  • An exciting and creative curriculum
  • A warm and welcoming environment with excellent facilities

The successful candidate will:

  • have a thorough understanding of how to keep children safe and safeguarding procedures. This role will require the candidate to be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • be an excellent classroom practitioner who ensures that all children, whatever their ability, make great progress
  • be a dedicated professional with the ability to inspire and lead children and colleagues
  • set the highest standards for themselves, the children and others
  • have excellent knowledge of Early Years, the EYFS and the statutory requirements associated with this critical period of learning
  • work successfully in partnership with parents and our community

  • undertake the role of SENDCo across the school

Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about their teaching and a leader who will enjoy working with enthusiastic staff, with the vision and drive to help sustain and further raise standards.

Applications from experienced practitioners are welcomed. This exciting opportunity could provide the first step in leadership and management for a very talented individual or could provide further challenge for more experienced colleagues.

If you are interested in this wonderful opportunity we would love to meet you and to show you around our school. Two drop-in sessions have been arranged and will take place on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday 26th February at 4.00 pm
