St Thomas More Catholic Academy is an 11-18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school with 1047 students on roll which has an excellent reputation throughout the area. On 1 November 2013 St Thomas More together with four primary academies formed the All Saints' Catholic Collegiate (MAC).
The Directors are seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced person to be responsible for Careers Provision to all students from Year 7 through to Year 13. This work will contribute to the successful transition of students to a variety of post 16 destinations and higher education and employment. The post holder will work in collaboration with our independent CEIAG advisor from Stoke-on-Trent City Council, who undertakes 1-1 interviews with all Year 11, 12 and 13 students.
The post is for 22 hours per week termtime + INSET plus an additional 10 days (GCSE and A level results weeks). It will also be necessary to attend occasional evening events including careers events and some parents’ evenings. Hours will be flexible to suit the candidate and the school.
