Job Details
Warwickshire Adult and Community Learning provides a diverse range of learning opportunities to adults across the county. We are a dynamic and forward-looking service, rated 'Good' by Ofsted. We are relaunching our programme for adults with learning disabilities and difficulties and are looking for an inspirational tutor to play an integral role in its successful delivery.
The Role
Fixed term contract length: 11 months
37 hours per week (job share will be considered)
Term time only (40 weeks)
We are looking for a tutor to teach both Cooking Skills and Life Skills to join the team in September. It is an exciting opportunity to share your knowledge and skills of these two important subject areas with learners with learning disabilities and/or learning difficulties.
You will be joining an experienced and dedicated team of tutors, who are committed to improving the skills and raising the aspirations of adults with learning disabilities and difficulties. Due to the countywide nature of the role, the successful applicant will be required to work in various locations, including Nuneaton, Leamington Spa and Rugby.
Key Requirements
You will be a qualified and experienced teacher of adults, with excellent and current subject knowledge. You will need to have an innovative approach to teaching your subject and experience of working with learners with a range of disabilities. You must be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and to supporting the rights and aspirations of under-represented groups.
