Job Details

The Black Country Impact programme addresses the barriers faced by unemployed individuals aged 15-29 years, supporting them to secure positive outcomes including employment, apprenticeships, training and further education.

Our individualised approach and alternative delivery structures provides flexible personalised learning and support that addresses the range of different personal and skills needs of young adults. Access to trusted advice and support, working alongside partners including housing, health, transport and employers to ensure individuals have the best possible opportunity to overcome the range of barriers they face, and to ensure they effectively participate, achieve a positive outcome and remain engaged.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

A key part of the project is to ensure that projects deliver planned performance and outputs to time, to budget commitments and quality specifications by monitoring the activities of delivery partners and contractors. The need for robust administrative processes and systems as well as a strong and confident communicator is essential to underpin this activity; this is where you come in.

You will work closely with Contract Monitoring Officer colleagues providing a list of administrative functions including telephony, minute taking and data processing. You will be required to liase with operational and professional staff within partner organisations (Dudley MBC, Sandwell MBC, City of Wolverhampton Council, Walsall Council and Talent Match Black Country) and private providers, as well as regulatory bodies.

In return, we will help you to develop your administration skills and you will have the opportunity to work towards a level 3 qualification.

This post is funded through the Black Country Impact project. The project is receiving up to £34 million of funding made up of £17 million European Social Fund and £17 million Youth Employment Initiative, plus match funding of up to £8m from the Big Lottery Fund and funding from partners.
