Severndale Specialist Academy is a multi-site Academy catering for children with special educational needs in Shropshire. Our children and young people can access Severndale Specialist Academy from Reception through to Sixth Form and have a range of learning difficulties.
The Academy is seeking a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Administrator to effectively provide support to the Business Team. The position plays a vital role in ensuring Health, Safety & Wellbeing runs effectively and efficiently in line with legislation. Candidates will demonstrate a good background in administration preferably in an educational environment. Candidates with the right personal attributes and aspiring to enter the Health & Safety profession will be considered.
The role involves liaising professionally, courteously and politely with all stakeholders including trustees, members of staff, students and parents.
5 GCSE’s grades 9-4 (A* - C) including Maths and English
IOSH qualification with an interest in working towards NEBOSH qualification
Experience of processing data with strong attention to detail with statistical information
Knowledge and experience of H&S practices in a professional environment
Supply accurate information for internal and external audiences
Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
Ability to work on own and as part of a team
Willingness to undertake appropriate CPD
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent IT skills, particularly excel
Excellent organisational skills
Remain positive when under pressure and prioritise challenging workloads
Ability to deal in a professional manner with all internal and external contacts
