We wish to appoint an innovative and talented teacher of Mathematics at this popular and successful 13-18 school.  Alleyne’s Academy is the fourth highest performing school across Staffordshire, S-O-T and East Cheshire for Progress 8.  In 2018, Maths results had a progress and attainment which was significantly above average; you would be joining a highly successful faculty.  The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or one taking up NQT status.

Mathematics is popular and successful in our thriving Sixth Form.  The appointed teacher may have the opportunity to teach A level Mathematics in addition to GCSE Mathematics.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm who is able to communicate clearly, is sensitive to the needs of young adults and has the ability to use initiative and vision to encourage others.  We expect the person to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.

Alleyne’s is a popular 13-18 comprehensive school judged “Good” by OfSTED in April 2016.  The school is well-regarded within the community and has a reputation for high quality teaching.

On the day of interview candidates will be expected to teach a 1 hour lesson to a year 9 class (mixed ability) on ‘Straight Line Graphs’.
