Job Details
Birmingham Youth Offending Service are seeking to recruit experienced and dynamic Social Worker to join South Birmingham Youth Offending Team. Ideal candidates will possess specialist working knowledge of social work and youth justice practice in children's services, experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and their families as well as being registered with the HCPC.
You will demonstrate a proactive approach to engaging and supporting children and young people who are subject to out of court disposals and statutory criminal court orders both within the community and custodial settings in accordance with legal requirements, national standards and local policies. Your role will require a good knowledge of child development and law to supervise court orders, a high level of analytical skills to undertake comprehensive assessments and a dynamic approach to planning, sequencing and delivering interventions (group work and one to one) which address need and protect victims.
