This is an opportunity to join a team of specialist commercial property lawyers within the Property Planning and Regeneration Team. You will work alongside the Council’s in-house surveyors dealing with the Council’s extensive property portfolio involving the granting and acquiring of new leases and lease renewals, freehold disposals and acquisitions, and related property management matters such as licences and easements. In addition, along with others of the commercial property team, you will assist with the real estate aspects of the Council’s Education function, and the property support aspects and due diligence for projects within the Council’s Directorates.

You must have a working knowledge of the relevant areas of law and have competent drafting and negotiating experience. You will work confidently with the Council’s internal directorate and external partners.

Practising Certificate or be a lawyer with demonstrably equivalent skills, abilities and knowledge.
