Services is the Engineering Consultancy Group at Warwickshire County Council. We are looking for a dynamic and confident individual to take on a new role to play a key part in the initial development of projects, provide robust project management on significant projects and provide commercial support to the Group. 
We are responsible for new roads, junctions and structures in Warwickshire. We also maintain the existing bridges, other highway structures and traffic signals as well as giving structural advice on some County Council owned properties. 

The Role

This role is intended to work in a team set up to support (1) the business systems necessary to enable us to meet our annual financial targets and control the cost of our projects, (2) provide Project Management expertise to the Group and (3) maintain and improve the management system which enable Design Services to control the quality of our services. 
For the majority of the time the position will be split across two key functions. Firstly, to be responsible for the provision of Project Management support on a range of significant of engineering schemes and projects. 
Secondly, the position will also assist Design Services managers in the financial management of projects and the Group budget. 

Key Requirements

An ideal candidate would have both Project Management and Financial Qualifications as well as experience in working within a highway engineering/ transport planning environment.
