This is an exciting time to join the Housing Service at Worcester City Council.

We are recruiting to our Private Sector Team for a Strategic Housing Services Admin Assistant, to provide additional support to the team in processing House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) applications and customer enquiries.

We are looking for competent, enthusiastic, organised and a flexible individual to join our team, providing support to Property Standards Officers.

You will have experience of providing administrative assistance, preferably within Private Sector Housing context and will have some knowledge of law and practice for HMO’s, tenants complaints on property standards and empty homes to be able to answer basic customer enquiries. You will be required to process HMO applications, administrate the empty property database, answer basic customer enquiries by telephone and email, refer enquiries to relevant partners and other administrative work.

The role will be based at offices in the centre of Worcester.

You must also have excellent IT and organisational skills to enable you to maintain a high level of customer service and efficiency. The successful applicant will have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as a commitment to excellence in accordance with Council policy and procedure.

This is a part-time position of 18.5hrs for a temporary 15 month contract.

Working days are Monday, Wednesday AM and Friday.
