Job Details

Sandwell Valley Country Park is the largest visitor attraction in Sandwell, offering a wide range of facilities including two working farms, gift shops, tea rooms, adventure playground, cycle hire, as well as acres of countryside for visitors to explore.

Your work as a part-time Visitor Services Assistant will be on the front line of our park, welcoming visitors and providing them with an experience that will inspire them to return to the park again and again. As such, the role will be varied and much of it will be people facing. Working with the other Visitor Services Assistant and wider park team, you will ensure visitors get the most out of their visit to Sandwell Valley Country Park.

You will help provide support on the two receptions connecting visitors with what’s on in the two visitor centres, as well as with the varied visitor facilities.

Communication will be key to this role from face to face contact with visitors and enquires via the telephone. You will also support the running of two gift shops.

Ideally, you will have relevant experience in a similar role with the public and possess excellent communication skills. You will be enthusiastic, inspiring and flexible, able to work within a dynamic team and on your own initiative.

You will need to be able to work across 7 days of the week including Bank Holidays and School Holidays.
