The Governing Body wishes to appoint a full time Physical Education Teacher – Girls’ PE, from September 2019. Numbers are growing and in September we will be a six form entry for the third academic year in a row.

Walton Priory is a school with a strong STEM vision and a very successful STEM Faculty. The STEM Faculty encompasses Science, Maths, ICT, DT and Physical Education. We compete nationally in STEM and PE competitions, our biggest and most recent national PE achievement was representing Stoke City at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea and at the King Power Stadium, Leicester in 2017 and 2018. We have an innovative curriculum encompassing three hours of PE each week, including one hour of class PE and two hours of competitive sports, allowing students to take full responsibility for their learning, health/fitness and future.

The school operates a ‘primary’ style model of class teaching in Year Five and Year Six, with the benefit of specialist subject staff for Key Stage Three. We have a large proportion of high attaining children and standards are high at both KS2 and KS3. Within the department we have two fully up to date science labs, a new advanced ICT suite, a library based ICT suite, a class set of Google Chromebooks, a DT suite and a newly refurbished sports hall and studio. The school site is set on ten acres of land, including multiple playing areas for a variety of sports as well as wooded areas.
