Accountable to   Catering Coordinator

We’re looking for an individual who has a flair for customer service, has strong communication skills, has a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers and of course has a love for food or a desire to know more!

Penkridge Middle is seeking a Catering Supervisor to join their busy in-house catering department. The team provides a high standard of food for students aged between 9 and 13 years, teachers and support staff, as well as for school functions.

As Penkridge Middle Catering Supervisor you will be able to create a positive team atmosphere and customer environment whilst working closely with the Catering Coordinator to deliver a wonderful catering experience for the school.

The post holder will carry out a range of catering duties including:

• Food Preparation
• Stock control including ordering and price negotiations
• Line management and training of catering team
• Ensuring all health, Safety and hygiene standards are met
• Menu planning and menu creation
• Marketing
• Day to day financial control of the business unit
• Arranging maintenance and mandatory checks of catering equipment 

The successful candidate will receive a full induction and will join a highly enthusiastic and dedicated kitchen team that is focused on quality and service.

As part of the selection process you will be invited in to be assessed by our Catering Coordinator on basic kitchen and cookery skills.
