An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational professional to join our strong staff team as Deputy Headteacher from September 2019, or after May half term 2019 if possible. The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to compliment the current leadership team and play a part in the future development of this popular and successful school. Experience and proven success teaching Year 6 would be a particular advantage, although it is not essential.

Endon Hall Primary & Nursery School aspires for excellence in all it does and is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Headteacher to work in close partnership with the Headteacher and Governors to help take the school on the next steps of its journey.

The successful candidate will:

  • demonstrate a clear vision for raising standards, including through coaching and mentoring
  • be an excellent organiser, be proactive and have an ability to support effective teams
  • have a clear understanding of what constitutes outstanding teaching, learning and assessment and how this underpins school effectiveness
  • have the ability to raise standards in teaching and learning, both their own and that of others
  • have a sound knowledge of Ofsted requirements and expectations
  • be innovative, imaginative and creative, both in terms of leadership and in moving children’s learning forward
  • have consistently high expectations
  • be committed to an inclusive approach that permeates the school as a whole
  • be passionate about children’s learning and willing to reflect on their own practice to ensure excellence
  • have good team building skills and enjoy working as part of a team, taking part in all aspects of school life
  • have a thorough knowledge of current educational thinking, research and pedagogy
  • have a strong commitment to working in partnership with parents/carers, governors, colleagues and other professionals
  • have excellent interpersonal skills and the qualities to lead and innovate whilst inspiring and motivating staff, children and parents.
