Casual Food Preparation Assistant – Ref: RT44718
Salary G3 £8.82 per hour
Casual Food Preparation Assistants are always needed in our schools and Council buildings. If you are available to work between the hours of 10.00am and 2.00pm, Monday to Friday term time; we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable team members to assist in the production and delivery of school meals across the borough. Successful candidates will undertake general kitchen duties including the cleaning of associated equipment. Uniform and training is provided.
Successful applicants will hold or train for the Essential Food Hygiene Certificate.
The casual food preparation assistant post is of a non-contractual basis and work will be allocated on an ‘as and when needed’ basis, to cover annual leave and sickness, therefore hours are not guaranteed.
Should a permanent position arise, successful applicants for this post will be considered.
These posts qualify for the Living Wage. The Council is committed to paying the Living Wage which is currently £8.75 per hour. This arrangement will be reviewed annually.
