SENIOR PRACTITIONER – SPECIALIST SAFEGUARDING

Salary:  £36153 - £39961 per annum

37 Hours per week – Permanent

Staffordshire County Council continues to undertake significant investment in its Children's Social Care services known as Families First.

Staffordshire’s Families First is one of the largest Children's Services in England and as a consequence there are excellent career opportunities for highly motivated and experienced staff to join a ‘Good’ Children’s Service.

This is a new and exciting role; You will be a qualified Social Worker, and must have a minimum of 2 year post qualification experience.  You will be responsible for working closely alongside the CSE coordinator and Specialist Safeguarding Manager, this work will involve the oversight, review and management of children subject to child protection plan who move inside and outside of Staffordshire on both a temporary and permanent basis. This work may involve assisting safeguarding team to complete visits on behalf of other Local Authorities at times and provide advice and guidance regarding cross borders issues regarding these cross.

This role will also involve supporting the coordination of the CSE panels, offering advice and guidance from front door referrals and to teams within the authority. This role will work closely with other agencies and the police especially where there are complicated joint police investigations in place.
