The role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual who is passionate about museums and heritage, and willing to operate in a busy customer-focused environment, to work at the Museum and Art Gallery in Worcester.

You will be responsible for the security of the premises, opening and closing the building, and acting as lead staff member in the absence of senior officers in the event of an emergency, at weekends and as required for emergency call-outs during closed hours.

With excellent communication and organisational skills, you will assist in the day-to-day running of facilities at the Museum and Art Gallery overseeing contractors, providing front of house cover when necessary and setting up for events and functions.

You will have a good understanding of health and safety procedures; be able to work well in a team; and have a flexible approach to daily demands.  The hours are 16 per week, based on a 3 week rota.

Additional Information

The successful candidate must be able to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
