We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Finance Officers to join our busy Adult Social Care Payments Team on a 12-month fixed term basis.

The Adult Social Care Payments Team is responsible for verifying and processing payments for all adult social care services including direct payments.

Contributing to the provision of a high quality customer focused service, you will be involved in creating bills for client contributions for residential and non-residential care, drafting letters and preparing statements of accounts, as well as dealing with queries from clients and family members, external providers and social workers.

To be successful in this role you will have 5 GCSE’s A-C (4-9) including Maths and English (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate effective numeracy and literacy skills.

You will also

  • have practical experience and knowledge of finance and office administration;
  • be able to communicate complex issues and information in a concise and understandable manner;
  • be able to deal effectively and sensitively with adults at risk and carers;
  • have confident IT skills, able to use spreadsheets, word processing and email;
  • be able to produce accurate quality controlled work under pressure and meet set deadlines.
