Team Manager North Locality Team (Adult Social Care) - Ref: SS44018
£43,324 - £48,478 per annum (pay award pending)
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to join our North Locality Team. This team provides a generic Adult Social Work service to a specific population linked to GP practices in the area. You will be based in both Walsall Council’s Civic Centre and North Locality within a GP Surgery.
We are looking for an experienced individual who is forward thinking, dynamic, passionate and who will promote and deliver positive opportunities and outcomes for individuals and their carers who are citizens of the Borough of Walsall. The role is responsible for ensuring that all statutory social care tasks are delivered to a high standard. You will be experienced in managing the day-to-day functions of a busy team. A large part of your focus will be to drive the performance of the team and the effective management of resources, budgets and assurance of quality. You will need to develop and maintain relationships within the Council, partner agencies and work alongside commissioning managers to support the growth and development of the market place and community opportunities listening to the needs of our community.
You will be committed to delivering the Council’s Vision to ensure that Inequalities are reduced and all potential is maximised for citizens and deliver the Adult Social Care Vision;
‘to work with citizens and communities to promote health, wellbeing and independence and if people need additional support we work with partners to ensure that people can access high quality services which maximise independence and safety, and that respect their autonomy, dignity and diversity’.
In order to be considered for this position, it is essential that any candidates have a recognised Social Work Qualification and HCPC registration and can demonstrate experience of working with adults.
It is also a necessity for any candidate to have knowledge of national policies and developments in relation to adults and knowledge and experience of adult safeguarding. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding and commitment to the personalisation agenda and be able to demonstrate an applied knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation including The Care Act, The Mental Capacity Act, Risk Assessments and the NHS Continuing Healthcare National Framework.
