King Edward VI College, is a highly regarded sixth form college, located in Stourbridge town centre. Specialising in the delivery of high quality A levels, in over 30 subject areas providing students with a wide range of course opportunity.

The role of the invigilator is to assist with the conduct and supervision of the College’s public examinations to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with JCQ and awarding body statutory rules and regulations. An examinations invigilator will be required to undertake various duties associated with primarily GCE exams of varying durations, taking place in May and June each year and internal exams in January. We are looking for additional staff to take on the role of lead invigilator and others to be part of an invigilation team.

The post holder will report to the Registry and Exams Manager.

Salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Association support staff pay scale, and are as follows per hour (this includes enhancement for holiday pay):

  • Invigilation - £9.0080 per hour
  • In charge - £11.7762 per hour

The post is on a zero hour contract with no mutuality of obligation. The next round of exams are due to start on 13 May 2019 and there would be a compulsory training session on 8 May 2019.
