Bank Contract - term time only

Based in Coventry, we specialise in providing excellent education and support to students with diverse and complex needs.  Our staff are committed to enabling students to fulfil their ambitions.

In your role as ILS Bank Staff, you will be responsible for supporting students in the residential provision where you will enable students to achieve their independence targets.  You will be responsible for monitoring and assessing students’ progress through effective target setting and ensuring that students are able to access the curriculum effectively. You will also be responsible for delivering all aspects of personal care to individual students, and take responsibility for the raising of student’s individual care plans and risk assessments.

In your role as a member of the ILS learning support staff team you will be responsible for supporting students in the Pathway in an educational environment under the guidance of the teaching staff.  You will be responsible for monitoring and assessing and recording students’ progress through effective target setting and ensuring that students are able to access the curriculum effectively. You will also be responsible for delivering all aspects of personal care to individual students.

To apply, you should possess a NVQ Level 2 in Care and a Level 2 qualification in safe handling of medication (or achieved within 6 months).  You will have a level 2 qualification in numeracy and literacy. If you do not hold Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English, you will be required to undergo an assessment as part of the interview process to determine you are operating at the required level.  You should have experience of working in a flexible and responsive team as well as experience of working in a learning environment. You will need to be a team worker, with excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.  You should have good IT skills with the ability to lead others and prioritise workloads.  It is important to have a positive, proactive, flexible approach to work and a strong commitment to excellence and student success.
