Grade 6 - £23,111 - £27,358 per annum
37 hours per week - Permanent

Now is the time to come and work for Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Council’s new Development Services team.

We are seeking a highly creative practitioner to identify the resources to enable and then deliver creative action based research in Redditch and Bromsgrove. They will be tasked to encourage others to work in partnership with creative ideas, to make inspiring things happen that increase participation, engagement and volunteering in the arts, culture, physical activity and heritage across the two local authority areas. The successful applicant will support the Development Services Manager, the Arts Development Officer (Projects and Partnerships) and the wider Development Services team alongside the Councils as a whole, to imbed arts and creativity at the strategic centre of the Council’s work streams under all six strategic priorities. The post holder will work closely with local partnerships to continue our work to identify the physical, attitudinal and intellectual barriers to engagement with the arts in communities and make exciting things happen to break down those barriers.

Key areas of responsibility

• Through action based creative research projects review existing delivery methods and bring forward new approaches to enhance the artistic excellence of the current partnership based work programmes increasing participation, engagement and volunteering across the Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District populations year on year.

• To support the work of the Council’s Events team by contributing to the programming of high quality arts content.

• To deputise for the Development Services Manager where appropriate, strategic pathfinding, networking, building relevant and innovative partnerships, advocating for, and representing the Councils at local, regional and national forums linked to the arts, culture and heritage sectors.
