This is a full time position with a 0.6fte teaching responsibility
Salary to be negotiated depending on experience
We are looking to appoint an outstanding SENCO with a commitment to academic excellence and helping every child succeed, who will be responsible for leading the SEND team, including the Assistant SENCO, in this crucial role in school. This is an excellent opportunity to join and lead an established team in our friendly and inclusive school. This is a key leadership post and the successful applicant will have a clear vision and be able to steer the development of the SEND department. Candidates must have a demonstrable commitment to breaking down barriers to learning by leading staff and using identified resources in effective and creative ways to meet the requirements of individual students with additional and different needs. The strategic aim is to ensure that students are able to access the curriculum whatever their learning or behavioural need.
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified SENCO or someone with a willingness to achieve the National SENCO Award.
The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations; their teaching commitment will be determined with due regard to their subject specialism. They will lead relevant inset to develop materials and strategies for effective differentiated provision throughout the curriculum. They will share our commitment to ensuring all Endon High School teachers are skilled in supporting Outstanding Achievement for children with SEND through quality first teaching.
