30 hours per week:
Monday/Wednesday/Friday - 8.00am - 2.00pm
Tuesday/Thursday - 6.45am to 12.45pm

Term time plus 3 weeks to be worked in the school holidays to provide cover for the Site Manager (46.74 weeks for 0-5 years Telford and Wrekin Council service)

Salary: Scale 2 Point 11, £9.36/hour, £18,065 pro rata from 01/04/19 (£13,124.59)

  • Provide site cover during the Site Manager’s absence
  •  Flexibility to work additional hours to cover absence, school functions etc.
  •  Regular checking of the school Site Services Spiceworks system for job requests, respond and update accordingly
  •  Prioritise workload with the emphasis on safety, security and safeguarding
  •  Be contactable at all times during the shift via a school mobile
  •  Grounds maintenance as directed by the Site Manager
  •  Driving of the school minibus when required
  •  Cleaning of the school minibus
  •  Physical presence at the front gates at the start of the school day for security and safeguarding purposes
  •  Liaison with any contractors attending site
  •  Empty internal recycling bins as required
  •  Empty external waste bins and litter pick as required
  •  Distribute parcels to relevant departments
  •  Set up and removal of furniture as required e.g.meetings, exams, school events and activities
  •  Liaise with and assist school staff if required
  •  Basic repairs and maintenance e.g. put up displays/boards, remove/repair broken or dangerous items of furniture
  •  Immediate cleaning of spilled liquids/materials/body fluids and solids for health and safety purposes
  •  Support of the Site Manager during any fire alarm/lockdown/building alarm activations
  •  To undertake internal/external training relevant to the role
  •  Any other duties as directed by the Site Manager, Head Teacher, Business Manager and members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
