Housing Solutions Officer

As a Housing Solutions Officer you will deliver and administer the requirements of the Homeless Reduction Act 2017, in its Prevention, Relief and Homeless duties.
You will also assist in the management of the Housing Register and Allocation of homes through the choice based lettings system and develop and maintain links with private sector landlords.
You will be required to conduct an accurate assessment of customer’s needs and administer a Personal Housing Plan, encouraging customer’s to take all of the necessary steps to prevent homelessness occurring.
Recent and relevant experience of working in a public sector or housing related environment, dealing directly with members of the public is essential.
You should also have significant working knowledge of the Homeless Legislation and have an understanding of the Homeless Reduction Act 2017.
