Job Details

Apprentice placements are for 16 plus year olds who will, through appropriate training and development, provide customer services support. The training will enable you to provide first point advice to prevent clients from becoming homeless. Enabling clients to remain in their homes or move in a planned manner to other accommodation preventing homelessness wherever possible and providing our statutory homeless duties.

5 GCSE C or above to include English and Maths

To have an awareness of the importance of health & safety issues.

 To have understanding and knowledge of confidentiality.

 To have an understanding and knowledge of data protection

 To have an understanding and knowledge of equality and diversity

No previous experience is essential, however if you have any previous work experience, interests or activities that involve dealing with customers/people, studying, or practical skills relevant to the job description it is useful to note it down on the application form.

To be receptive to new ideas and responsive to change.

 To be organised, accurate and flexible within your working environment.

 To be able to communicate well with people from a wide range of backgrounds

 To be flexible and adaptable

 Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and to be able to explain service legislation and policies, decisions effectively to clients.

 Ability to manage and prioritise own workload to achieve personal and team targets.
