Christ the King Catholic Primary School is a friendly and welcoming school. We are based on two sites – Nursery, Foundation and Key Stage 1 on Westhill Road, and Key Stage 2 on Scots Lane. We are a two form entry school with capacity for 420 pupils and a 52 place nursery.

We are seeking to appoint a Receptionist/Clerical Assistant to provide confidential, effective, efficient and flexible administrative support to our successful and established Primary school. You will be the crucial first point of contact for all visitors - able to provide a warm welcome and ensuring that all visitors are signed in and clear about where they need to go. You will need good word processing skills and the ability to input information onto a database (training will be given if necessary).

We are looking for someone who is:
• friendly, calm, assertive and able to work independently
• highly organised, enthusiastic and competent
• able to use their initiative and manage their own workload and embrace change
• able to cope with interruptions

Working hours

37 hours per week, term time only + 5 training days

Working Pattern

Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu – 8am-4pm; Fri – 8.30am-4pm (1/2 hr lunch per day unpaid)

Experience of working in a school environment, and familiarity with SIMs and FMS would be advantageous but training will be given for the right applicant.

Key Requirements

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to the post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
