An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the HIV Team based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The successful candidate will work within a busy multi-disciplinary team in order to facilitate the social care model through sound social work practices. Tasks will include providing a clinic where citizen’s can discuss issues, receive support, guidance and sign posting in addition to assessments in accordance with the Care Act 2014.

This vacancy is funded by a long term commitment from health by way of a Service Level Agreement up to 2021. It is likely that this agreement will continue beyond 2021 however, the position is contingent on the extension of the agreement.

Through social work to increase the independence of vulnerable adults and to contribute to the team’s work in improving the quality of its service. With appropriate supervision and support, to manage a workload, which will include vulnerable service users, some with complex needs. Where appropriate to accept responsibility for service user’s safety and well being. To concentrate on specific areas of work related to organisational needs as required. To co-work with other professional colleagues as required.
