Promoting Independent Living Service  supports adults with Learning disabilities and associated Mental Health conditions in their own tenancies.   We are part of Coventry City Councils' People Directorate and registered with Care Quality Commission 

We are looking to recruit two part time permanent Support assistants to join our team. We have an 18.5 hour and a 23 hour contract available. 

As a Support assistant you will be part of a team providing high standards of person - centred support to the service users. Through a creative, caring and problem solving approach you will build good relationships with service users , supporting them in the planning and working towards their personal goals as well as enabling them to live as independently as possible.   

Experience is not essential but enthusiasm, the ability to encourage and motivate whilst respecting service users rights to make choices and treating all people with dignity and respect are essential.  

Both posts are on a city wide contract but current funding means that they are based within one staff team in one shared tenancy complex.  

The rota includes weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
