Fixed-Term Contract until 31st December 2019
In the southern part of the West Midlands, Warwick district is an attractive, historic location and, as a consequence, local housing costs are extremely high, so the provision of more affordable housing is a key corporate priority for Warwick District Council.
In this important role you will provide the enabling service, working with planners, developers and housing associations to ensure that an appropriate mix of affordable housing is included in all larger private housing schemes. You will also pursue development opportunities for affordable housing provision directly by the council and support and advise housing associations on schemes that they bring forward. You will be responsible for producing housing and related strategies, policies and procedures that contribute to achieving this aim.
This post is to cover a secondment until 31st December 2019 and you will need to have been working in a housing development/enabling role within the very recent past so as to be able to contribute immediately with minimal induction.
For an informal discussion about the post please contact Ken Bruno, Housing Strategy and Development Manager on 01926 456044.
Closing date: Friday 29th March 2018
