Moat Hall Primary School is an exciting and vibrant setting nestled in the heart of Great Wyrley. We are proud to have a dedicated team who strive to deliver excellence in care and education to each of the children we have in our school.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a competent person to work with 2 of our very special children. Both children have EHCPs – one for learning difficulties and one for ADHD. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of improving outcomes for children with SEN and experience with children with ASD and ADHD within a primary setting. In addition, they should be able to demonstrate effective ways of working with pupils to raise their attainment and consistently increase their enthusiasm for learning. They will be joining a dynamic, proactive and forward thinking team. In addition to these qualities, our new team member will be required to:

  • Help create a warm, caring and unique environment for our children.
  • Support and promote equality and diversity throughout all areas of care and practice.
  • Help ensure the well-being, health and safety of all children at all times.
  • To support and nurture relationships with these specific children, families, colleagues and external professionals with whom you have contact.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent practitioner, with a ‘can do’ attitude who has high expectations of themselves and others;
  • Have a good knowledge and experience of working with SEN, ASD and AHDH;
  • Have an awareness of emotional and mental health needs in children;
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills and good organisation;
  • Have a sense of authority, but with a calm, positive and patient manner;
  • Have a background in supporting children with behavioural difficulties;
  • Have the confidence, determination and resilience to thrive in an environment that supports continuous school improvement;
  • Have the ability to create and support effective teamwork;
  • Possess the personal skills needed to be able to communicate effectively within the school and with a range of external professionals, parents and governors.
  • Be committed to continuing professional development
  • Be a proactive learner and willing to work collaboratively
  • Make a positive contribution to our school
  • Be passionate about inclusion and the learning and development of every child

We offer:

  • Supportive parents and Local Governing Body
  • A supportive, innovative and committed staff team with a range of expertise;
  • Friendly, enthusiastic and well-motivated children who are eager to learn;
  • A highly stimulating, well-resourced learning environment;
  • Excellent opportunities for professional development;
  • An exceptionally welcoming and supportive school community;
  • A culture of growth mindset where purposeful practice and effort are rewarded
  • A leadership team that is committed to staff development, teaching & learning and pupil outcomes
  • A school that is committed to ensuring that every child succeeds

Visits to the school are strongly recommended. Please telephone the school to make an appointment. Tel: 01922 660960, email office@moathall.staffs.sch.uk

The closing date is Wednesday 27th March and interviews will take place on Monday 1st April.

This School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
