King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Mathematics teacher to join an exceptional department. With 89% of grades at 9-4, 79% of grades at 9-5 and 35% of grades at 9-7 in GCSE Mathematics in 2018, you will be joining a high-performing, collaborative department. The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for a Newly Qualified Teacher.

Mathematics is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. The appointed teacher will be expected to teach up to at least GCSE level with the possibility of some post-16 teaching for a suitable candidate. A Level Mathematics, A Level Further Mathematics and Level 3 Core Mathematics are taught in the Sixth Form.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.

King Edward VI School is a popular 11-18 comprehensive school rated Good by OfSTED in 2017 with recognition of outstanding practice and a highly positive ethos. The school is well-regarded within the community and has a reputation for high quality teaching; we are currently expanding to take in an additional form of entry from 2019. Lichfield is a small, vibrant cathedral city which is easily accessible from the surrounding areas.
